Lakes Region United CoachesWe encourage all Lakes Region United coaches to follow US Soccer and US Youth Soccer best practices when it comes to coaching. While we are a volunteer organization, we want to enable our coaches to be the best they can be!Coaching ResourcesThe U.S. Soccer Coaching Curriculum was released in 2011 by the US Player Development Task Force as a recommended practice after a 5 year study of all aspects of player development in the United States and globally. The curriculum is designed to improve development of players in the United States, concentrating on creating more organized, age-appropriate training sessions, developing coaching practices and creating an environment that is fun for the players.Click the U.S. Soccer Curriculum image below to open the U.S. Soccer Curriculum documentIn 2016 U.S. Soccer published its Player Development Initiatives. They have been also been mandated by US Youth Soccer.U.S. Soccer endorses a Play-Practice-Play (PPP) model for Grassroots Coaching.
